Coastal Delights and Desert Dreams
Next, embark on a coastal adventure to the charming town of Swakopmund. Explore its historic architecture, indulge in fresh seafood, and witness the dramatic meeting of the desert and the sea at Sandwich Harbour.
From the coast, venture into the vast expanse of the Namib Desert. Stand in awe of the towering dunes of Sossusvlei and the otherworldly beauty of Deadvlei. Capture breathtaking sunsets and experience the serenity of this ancient landscape.

Your journey concludes in the vibrant capital city of Windhoek. Immerse yourself in the city’s cultural diversity, explore its museums and art galleries, and savour the flavours of Namibian cuisine.
ITINERARY DAY-TO-DAY
Day 1
Arrival – Windhoek – Erongo Mountains
Welcome to Namibia! A driver will welcome you as you enter the airport arrivals hall. You will easily recognise him as he holds a signboard with your name. Transfer to the car rental depot, where you complete the rental paperwork and receive a comprehensive brief of your 4×4 vehicle.
Then, it is time to start your journey west. Arrive at the lodge in the afternoon and check in. Relax as you enjoy the beautiful views before joining a guide for an easy sundowner hike and dinner at the lodge. Marvel at the clarity of the stars when you walk to your room.

Day 2
Erongo Mountains – Swakopmund
Breakfast. You have time for more activities this morning, as Swakop is an easy two-hour drive away. Visit the nearby San Living Museum or join a guide for a game drive on the private reserve. Your route to Swakopmund travels past the Spitzkoppe, and this is an ideal opportunity to stop here if you’d like to see these famous boulders up close. Soon, you arrive in picturesque Swakopmund. Check in at your accommodation and drop your bags off before you explore Swakop on foot. This evening, you can choose from a variety of excellent restaurants.

Day 3 & 4
Explore Swakopmund and the Namibian coastline.
You have two full days to explore Swakopmund and the surrounding areas. This is ample time to join a guided 4×4 excursion through the dunes to Sandwich Harbour and a living desert quad bike tour. Other activities include visiting the nearby Moonlandscape or driving north to Cape Cross to see the massive colony of Cape Fur Seals. Or enjoy a wonderful morning Catamaran Cruise in the Walvisbay Harbour, where you will spot marine mammals like dolphins, seals, and many seabirds. Or simply lounge on the beach at Swakopmund’s favourite swimming spot, the Mole.

Day 5
Swakopmund – Sossusvlei
Breakfast. Leave Swakopmund and the icy water of the Atlantic Ocean and travel deeper into the Namib Desert. The route winds through the Kuiseb and Gaub Canyons before reaching the tiny hamlet Solitaire, where it is time to refuel and sample some famous apple pie. Continue to your lodge, conveniently located for your visit to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei tomorrow.

Day 6
A Day Exploring the Sossusvlei Dunes
Breakfast. This morning, you have an early start to ensure you are at the Sesriem gate at sunrise when it opens. Once you’ve completed the entry permit paperwork and paid the entry fees (included), you drive the 60km to the Sossusvlei dunes. Spend the morning visiting Dune 45, Sossusvlei, Deadvlei and the Sesriem Canyon on our way back to the gate. If you are feeling energetic, climb the Big Daddy dune and admire the expanse of the Namib Sandsea and the sight of Marble Mountain nearby. Enjoy lunch at a nearby lodge (not included). Return to your accommodation and spend the rest of the day relaxing or join one of the optional afternoon activities.

Day 7
Sossusvlei – Windhoek
Breakfast. Today, you leave the desert lowlands and travel up the Naukluft escarpment to Namibia’s capital city, Windhoek. Visit the Namibia Craft Centre to buy local souvenirs before driving to your accommodation, where you drop your luggage. Then, it is time to join a local guide for a walking tour of Windhoek and get a taste of local cuisine.

Windhoek – Departure
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to check in for your onward flight.
