Day 1

Upon arrival at Maun airport, we will meet you and your family and assist you with boarding your light aircraft transfer to Delta Camp. Landing at the Delta Camp airstrip, your guide will meet you and transfer you by road to Delta Camp, where you can settle into your spacious family lethaka (reed) chalet.

Delta camp is situated on the southwestern edge of Chief's Island and in the heart of the Okavango Delta. The camp is surrounded by a large palm-studded forest. Its position allows for an incredible view over the sweeping floodplains, channels, and islands surrounding it. The camp is one of the few camps in the delta that accommodate children and families are welcome. Enjoy delicious meals in the elegant dining room overlooking the sweep of the delta. Guests also have the option to enjoy a beautifully prepared picnic on one of the many nearby islands. Guests can enjoy walking safaris with their guide or spend their days exploring the waterways in a traditional mokoro. Delta Camp offer a classic safari experience with your own private guide, comfortable accommodation and great rates.

Day 2

Spend the day exploring the areas around the camp. Activities include guided walks, gliding through the channels between the floodplains in a traditional mokoro and visit the local village to experience life and culture in a traditional village in the middle of the Okavango delta. Enjoy fantastic meals and incredible sights in camp. Enjoy the wilderness far away from the noise and rush of the modern world.

Today you transfer from Delta Camp to the Khwai Community Area. Arrive at your fully serviced mobile camp in the heart of Botswana. This area is excellent for birding enthusiasts, and you may spot rosy-throated longclaw, cuckoo hawk, African crake and the greater painted snipe. All meals are prepared by the chef, taking particular care to prepare delicious homemade food. The morning breakfast is a selection of cereal, bread, jam, tea, coffee and milk. Lunch usually consists of light meals accompanied by fresh vegetables or salads and fruits. During the days of transfer from one place to another, generally, meals are packed, while brunch is usually served in the camp when clients return from the morning safari. In the evening, campers can enjoy different types of meat, rice, pasta or potatoes, served with vegetables and fruit. Enjoy a truly intimate, authentic experience in beautiful, wild surroundings.

Day 4

Enjoy exploring the fascinating wilderness around the camp with your professional guide in an open game drive vehicle. Then, return to camp to enjoy delicious meals and to relax between activities. The camp is set up in a way that ensures maximum comfort while maintaining an adventurous African spirit. The large tents are insulated on the ground, while the bedroom and ensuite bathroom facilities have a partition for privacy. Large windows ensure excellent visibility while the mosquito gauze keeps the bugs outside. The bathroom has a chemical toilet, bucket shower, mirror, towels and bathroom amenities like soap, shampoo and insect repellent. Beds have comfortable mattresses, pillows, sheets, blankets and a hot water bottle in winter. Fall asleep every night, listening to the sounds of the bush.

Day 6

Departing Khwai, you will catch your aircraft transfer to Kasane (approx 1 hour). We will meet you at Kasane airport and transfer you to the river, where you will clear Botswana customs and meet your Chobe Savanna Lodge guide. Once on the river, you will enjoy a magnificent boat transfer up the river to the Chobe Savanna Lodge, stamping into Namibia on your way up. Spend two nights at Chobe Savanna Lodge. The lodge sits in a classic African savanna environment with sweeping vistas over the Chobe River and the Chobe National Park.

Situated in the Eastern Caprivi, Zambezi Province of Namibia, a narrow strip of country on the northern bank of the Chobe River, Chobe Savanna Lodge overlooks the vast floodplains of the Chobe National Park’s Puku Flats. The Chobe River is home to large herds of Elephant, Buffalo and Hippo, as well as dense concentrations of other wildlife – including the rare Puku antelope – which come down to the river’s edge to drink and graze.

Day 7

The Chobe Riverfront is one of the world's top wildlife destinations. Enjoy river excursions in small, easily manoeuvrable boats ideal for close encounters with the wildlife visiting the river's edge. Fishing is a popular pastime, and you can enjoy the thrill of catch-and-release of Tiger and Bream. You can also visit a local village to learn more about the culture of the people who have lived on these floodplains for many generations.

Today you transfer back to Kasane along the river and then to the airport to check in for your onward flight.
